CBI Revamp: Amit Pratap Singh Promoted, Pushkin Jain Joins, Kadam Gets Extension

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| In a latest administrative development, the Competent Authority has approved a series of appointments and tenure decisions in the Central Bureau of Investigation aimed at reinforcing its leadership structure.
Amit Pratap Singh, currently serving as SP in CBI, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the agency. His tenure will extend up to May 14, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
In another key move, Pushkin Jain has been inducted as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the CBI for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge, or until further directives.
Additionally, the deputation tenure of Amit Sanjay Kadam, also serving as SP in the CBI, has been extended by one year. His revised tenure will now continue from May 2, 2026, to May 1, 2027.
These decisions reflect the government’s continued focus on strengthening investigative capacity and ensuring continuity in key positions within the premier probing agency.
