CBI trapes FCI official demanding bribery

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested the Depot Incharge and a Quality Control Manager, both working in Food Corporation of India Depot PEG, Arjunaha, Kushinagar(Uttar Pradesh) for demanding a bribe of Rs.1,00,000/- and accepting Rs.50,000/- each from the complainant.
A case was registered u/s 120-B of IPC and Section 7 of PC Act, 1988 against the Depot Incharge and Quality Control Manager, both working in FCI Depot PEG, Arjunaha, Kushinagar on a complaint. It was alleged in the complaint that a bribe of Rs.1,00,000/- was demanded by Depot Incharge, FCI Depot PEG, Arjunaha, Kushinagar and Quality Control Managar, FCI Depot PEG, Arjunaha, Kushinagar from the complainant for quality check of 472 quintal rice. CBI laid a trap and caught both the accused red handed while demanding Rs.1,00,000/- and accepting Rs.50,000/- each from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the residential and office premises of the accused.The arrested accused persons are being produced today before the Competent Court at Lucknow.
