(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.CPM) The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued a significant order promoting and transferring senior officials across its various departments. The changes involve elevations to top positions including Principal Chief Commissioner (Pr. CC), Principal Director General (Pr. DG), and Chief Commissioner (CC), alongside strategic postings across customs and GST formations.

All promoted officers are required to assume their new roles by July 28, 2025. A compliance report regarding their relieving and joining is to be submitted to the Board by August 1, 2025. The government has also clarified that no representation will be entertained before the officers take charge of their new responsibilities.

The following officers have been promoted and reassigned:

A.R.S. Kumar (Emp. Code 662/1991, DOB: 07.08.1965) has been posted as Principal Chief Commissioner, Chennai Zone, from Customs Zone.

Rimjhim Prasad (665/1991, DOB: 18.06.1967) moves from in-situ to Director General, DGPM.

Rajesh Jindal (668/1991, DOB: 05.08.1967) has been appointed Director General, Systems & Data Management, from in-situ.

Rajeev Gupta (670/1991, DOB: 14.08.1966) is transferred from in-situ to Chief Commissioner, CGST & CX, Vadodara Zone.

Simmi Jain (672/1991, DOB: 15.08.1965) has been posted from in-situ to Director General, DG Audit.

Madan Mohan Singh (685/1991, DOB: 07.01.1967) has moved from Customs Zone Kolkata to CGST & CX, Chennai Zone.

Arti A Srinivas (688/1991, DOB: 30.08.1967) is transferred from DG Systems & Data Management to Director General, DGARM.

Shubhangata Kumar (757/1992, DOB: 24.12.1967) has been promoted from in-situ to Director General, DGHRD (HRM).

Manish Kumar (759/1992, DOB: 10.02.1969) is posted from in-situ to Customs Zone, Delhi.

V. Sangeeta (761/1992, DOB: 14.07.1965) has been moved from in-situ to CGST & CX, Hyderabad Zone.

S. Thirunavukkarsu (764/1992, DOB: 26.11.1968) is posted from in-situ to DGGI SNU West, Mumbai.

Paul Rajendra Lakra (773/1992, DOB: 27.02.1968) moves from in-situ to CGST & CX, Bhubaneswar Zone.

Ramavath Srinivasa Naik (774/1992, DOB: 05.06.1967) is posted from in-situ to Customs Zone, Kolkata.

Emp. Code 775/1993 (DOB: 15.04.1966) has been transferred from in-situ to DGGI SNU North, Gurugram.

Sandeep M.S. Puri (776/1993, DOB: 27.08.1968) is reassigned from in-situ to CGST & CX, Nagpur Zone.

The reshuffle, ordered under the supervision of Shireesh Kumar Gautam, Under Secretary to the Government of India, is aimed at strengthening CBIC’s leadership framework for better administration and service delivery.
