CCL Brings Kendriya Vidyalaya to Dakra Dakra Welcomes New Kendriya Vidyalaya

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA| In a remarkable step towards strengthening educational infrastructure in Jharkhand’s coal belt, the Kendriya Vidyalaya, CCL, Dakra, established with the support of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), was formally inaugurated in a grand ceremony. The event marked a milestone for the Dakra, Khalari and McCluskieganj region, promising access to quality education for local children.
The inauguration was graced by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth as the Chief Guest, while Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji attended as the Guest of Honour. Former Kanke MLA Samri Lal, CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Nilendu Kumar Singh, Functional Directors, Chief Vigilance Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan S. J. Joglekar, senior CCL officials, employees, public representatives, local villagers, stakeholders, trade union representatives, students and parents were also present.
The programme commenced with the release of a commemorative souvenir, inspection of the newly constructed school building and ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya welcomed the guests with a melodious welcome song and colourful cultural performances, adding vibrancy to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Seth described the opening of the Kendriya Vidyalaya as a historic achievement for the region. He expressed confidence that students of the institution would excel in diverse fields and bring laurels to Jharkhand and the nation.
Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji said the school would nurture future generations of talented students capable of making their mark at national and international levels while enhancing the prestige of both Jharkhand and CCL.
Speaking on the occasion, CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh shared his emotional association with the project and said the dream of establishing the school had finally become a reality. He termed it a major step towards securing a brighter future for children in the region and reaffirmed CCL’s commitment to community development through quality education.
Deputy Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan S. J. Joglekar reiterated the organisation’s commitment to providing inclusive, modern and high-quality education. He expressed confidence that the new school would lay a strong academic foundation and help shape responsible, capable and confident citizens of the future.
