On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organized a grand event dedicated to environmental awareness at the Gangotri Convention Centre, Sangam Auditorium, located at its headquarters. The event brought together directors, the Chief Vigilance Officer, officials, and employees, all united by a shared goal of safeguarding the environment. During the gathering, attendees took a solemn pledge to protect and preserve nature.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman and Managing Director emphasized that environmental protection is not merely a responsibility, but a shared obligation to future generations. He reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a green and sustainable future at every level of its operation.

A symbolic yet powerful initiative, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree in the Name of Mother), was also launched during the event with a tree plantation. The campaign beautifully merges the themes of maternal respect and environmental stewardship.

In a broader push towards sustainability, CCL carried out extensive plantation and sapling distribution drives across its headquarters and various regional sites, planting thousands of trees in a single day. This initiative highlights CCL’s proactive approach and dedication to contributing meaningfully to environmental conservation.
