World Environment Day -2023 was celebrated jointly by KIOCL and Officials of MoEF & CC in a befitting manner on 5th June 2023 at Pellet Auditorium, Corporate Office, Bengaluru.T Saminathan, CMD, BK Mohapatra, D(C), GV Kiran, D(P&P), Sr Officers & WIPS members planted the saplings in the premises of the Office. CMD distributed saplings to the members.Keynote address by T Saminathan, CMD and MK Shambu, DIG (Forest) IRO MoEF& CC on the theme for the year 2023 – Focus on solutions to Plastic Pollution under the Campaign #Beat Plastic Pollution. Technical session on Mission LiFE was presented by Shri Suresh Kumar Adapa, Scientist -E, MoEF & CC. Ms Shreya Gowda was felicitated by T Saminathan, CMD & MK Shambu, DIG (Forest)IRO MoEF&CC who won Runner up in Mission LiFE Poster Competition. Pledge was administered by Smt Tejaswini, Research Officer, IRO to the members with National Anthem. Smt Dola Bhatacharjee , Scientist, MoEF & CC compered the program & R Sridhar proposed vote of thanks.
