By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Centre has approved re-designation of several Deputy Secretary posts to Director level across key ministries, granting officers personal upgradation during their ongoing central deputation tenures.

Komaljit Meena Re-designated as Director in Defence Ministry
The Competent Authority has approved re-designation of Komaljit Meena (IRS-IT, 2012) from Deputy Secretary to Director in the Ministry of Defence from 1 January 2026 or upon assumption of charge, till 5 March 2030. His central deputation tenure is effective from 6 March 2025.

Vikash Kumar Elevated to Director Level in Defence Ministry
Approval has been granted to re-designate Vikash Kumar (IA&AS, 2012) as Director in the Ministry of Defence from 1 January 2026 or upon assuming charge, till 14 April 2029. His central deputation tenure began on 15 April 2024.

Yuvraj Ravindra Patil Re-designated as Director in Lokpal under DoPT
The Competent Authority has approved re-designation of Yuvraj Ravindra Patil (IRTS, 2012) as Director in Lokpal under DoPT from 1 January 2026 or upon assuming charge, till 15 March 2027. His central deputation tenure has been effective since 16 March 2022.

Deepak Arjun Elevated as Director-level Private Secretary in MoRTH
Approval has been given to re-designate Deepak Arjun (IAS, AGMUT 2012) as Private Secretary (Director level) to the Minister of Road Transport and Highways from 1 January 2026 or upon assuming charge, till 31 August 2027. His central deputation tenure began on 1 September 2022.

Harleen Kaur Re-designated as Director in MoRTH
The Competent Authority has approved re-designation of Harleen Kaur (IAS, AGMUT 2012) as Director in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways from 1 January 2026 or upon assuming charge, till 21 August 2030. Her central deputation tenure starts on 22 August 2025.

Yashu Rustagi Elevated to Director in DoPT
Approval has been granted to re-designate Yashu Rustagi (IAS, UP 2012) as Director in the Department of Personnel & Training from 1 January 2026 or upon assumption of charge, till 21 September 2028. Her central deputation tenure has been effective since 22 September 2023.
