Centre Extends Deputation Tenures and Approves Key Re-designations Across Services

Kartikeya Goel, IAS (CH:2010)
The Centre has extended the deputation tenure of Kartikeya Goel, IAS (CH:2010), serving as DCO/DCR, Chhattisgarh, until 31 August 2028. Goel has been on central deputation since 1 September 2025. The extension ensures continuity in census and citizen registration responsibilities in the state.

Manashvi Kumar, IAS (PB:2004)
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a two-year extension for Manashvi Kumar, IAS (PB:2004), Joint Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, beyond 14 March 2026. The extension supports ongoing policy and administrative reform within the ministry during a crucial period for national health governance.

Prabhat Kumar, IAS (JH:2011)
Prabhat Kumar, IAS (JH:2011), DCO/DCR, Jharkhand, has received an extension in central deputation until 31 March 2026. On central deputation since October 2022, he will continue overseeing census and registration functions under the Central Staffing Scheme for the extended period.

Amit Sharma, IAS (AGMUT:2012)
The Centre has extended the deputation tenure of Amit Sharma, IAS (AGMUT:2012), DCO/DCR for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, until 31 March 2030, further extendable as per CSS norms. Sharma joined central deputation on 24 November 2025 and continues to lead key demographic operations.

Cheshta Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:2014)
The deputation tenure of Cheshta Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:2014), DCO/DCR, Goa (Deputy Secretary level), has been extended until 17 August 2028. On central deputation since August 2025, she continues to hold additional charge of census operations and citizen registration in the state.

Navjot Khosa, IAS (KL:2012)
Navjot Khosa, IAS (KL:2012), DCO/DCR, Punjab & Chandigarh, has been granted an extension until 31 March 2026. On central deputation since December 2022, she continues to oversee population-related data and registration systems across the region.

Ratan Biswas, IAS (TR:2013)
The Centre has approved the appointment of Ratan Biswas, IAS (TR:2013), as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Tripura, on additional charge for three years. He must assume charge within three weeks, as mandated under ACC guidelines to avoid debarment from the Central Staffing Scheme.

Zasekuolie Chusi, IAS (NL:2011)
The deputation tenure of Zasekuolie Chusi, IAS (NL:2011), DCO/DCR, Nagaland, has been extended until 18 December 2026. On central deputation since December 2023, he will continue to manage census and registration duties on additional charge basis.

Purva Garg, IAS (AGMUT:2015)
Purva Garg, IAS (AGMUT:2015), DCO/DCR, Andaman & Nicobar Islands (Deputy Secretary level), has received an extension until 10 August 2028. On central deputation since August 2025, she continues to supervise demographic and registration-related functions for the island territories.

Bharati Holikeri, IAS (TG:2010)
The Centre has extended the deputation tenure of Bharati Holikeri, IAS (TG:2010), DCO/DCR, Telangana, until 5 September 2027. Holikeri has been on central deputation since September 2024 and continues to oversee census and registration frameworks in the state.

Karma R. Bonpo, IAS (SK:2010)
Karma R. Bonpo, IAS (SK:2010), DCO/DCR, Sikkim, has received an extension until 25 November 2027. On central deputation since November 2024, he continues to lead census and citizen registration responsibilities across the Himalayan state.

J. Nivas, IAS (AP:2010)
The central deputation tenure of J. Nivas, IAS (AP:2010), DCO/DCR, Andhra Pradesh, has been extended until 19 June 2028. On central deputation since June 2025, he continues to direct AP’s census and registration operations at the Director level.

Iva Ashish Srivastava, IAS (UD:2010)
The Centre has extended the deputation tenure of Iva Ashish Srivastava, IAS (UD:2010), DCO/DCR, Uttarakhand, until 2 April 2026. On central deputation since April 2023, she continues to manage the state’s registration and census-related duties.

M. Sundaresh Babu, IAS (KN:2012)
The deputation tenure of M. Sundaresh Babu, IAS (KN:2012), DCO/DCR, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, has been extended until 22 June 2028. On central deputation since June 2025, he continues to supervise census and citizen registration assignments in both jurisdictions.

Sujal Jayantibhai Mayatra, IAS (GJ:2011)
Sujal Jayantibhai Mayatra, IAS (GJ:2011), DCO/DCR, Gujarat, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, has received an extension until 20 August 2028. He continues his central deputation role overseeing data and registration functions across the combined territories.

Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, IAS (OD:2012)
Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, IAS (OD:2012), DCO/DCR, Odisha, has been granted an extension until 15 June 2028. On central deputation since June 2025, he continues to lead state-level demographic and registration processes.

Lalit Jain, IAS (HP:2011)
The Centre has extended the deputation tenure of Lalit Jain, IAS (HP:2011), DCO/DCR, Haryana, until 6 December 2026. On central deputation since December 2023, Jain continues to supervise key census and registration initiatives.

Deep Shikha Sharma, IFoS (AGMUT:2011)
Deep Shikha Sharma, IFoS (AGMUT:2011), DCO/DCR, Himachal Pradesh, has received an extension until 22 June 2028. On central deputation since June 2025, she continues to lead census and registration work in the hill state.

Swadha Dev Singh, IAS (OD:2014)
Swadha Dev Singh, IAS (OD:2014), DCO/DCR, O/o RGI (Hqrs.), has been granted an extension until 31 March 2030, extendable under CSS norms. On central deputation since October 2025, she continues overseeing national-level census operations.

Chanchal Kumar, IAS (BH:1992)
The government has assigned additional charge of Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, to Chanchal Kumar, IAS (BH:1992), from 12 to 21 December 2025 during the leave period of Neeraj Mittal. Kumar currently serves as Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.

Sushant Sudan, IES (2012)
The Centre has approved re-designation of the Deputy Secretary post held by Sushant Sudan, IES (2012), in the Department of Commerce (GeM) as Director from 1 January 2026 to 6 January 2027. Sudan has been on central deputation since January 2022.

Manender, IDAS (2011)
Manender, IDAS (2011), has been re-designated as Director, Central Vigilance Commission, with effect from 1 January 2026 until 5 March 2029. On central deputation since March 2024, he continues to strengthen vigilance mechanisms within the Commission.

Mayank Tyagi, IDAS (2012)
Mayank Tyagi, IDAS (2012), serving in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, has been re-designated as Director from 1 January 2026 until 17 June 2029. On central deputation since June 2024, he continues to support infrastructure-linked administrative oversight.

Puneet Meena, IRAS (2011)
Puneet Meena, IRAS (2011), has been re-designated as Director, Central Vigilance Commission, effective 1 January 2026 until 6 March 2029. On central deputation since March 2024, he continues contributing to vigilance administration at the national level.

Vaibhav Rundwal, IES (2012)
Vaibhav Rundwal, IES (2012), posted in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, has been re-designated as Director from 1 January 2026 to 16 December 2029. He has been on central deputation since December 2024, supporting urban policy initiatives.

Prasad Arvind Chaphekar, IRS(IT:2012)
Prasad Arvind Chaphekar, IRS(IT:2012), Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has been re-designated as Director from 1 January 2026 to 25 December 2027. On central deputation since December 2022, he continues contributing to renewable energy governance.
