New Delhi 14 September 2019: – Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel met the Congress National General Secretary, Smt. Priyanka Gandhi, the meet was significant enough in many ways. This can also be seen as the mutual sharing of Baghel’s experiences of political skills and administrative skills. Priyanka Gandhi called Chief Minister Baghel at her residence for discussion and advice on various issues. Chief Minister Baghel reached her residence at 8 pm. The meeting lasted for about 1 hour. Smt. Gandhi appreciated the initiative and efforts of the State Government to overcome the suffering of malnutrition and anemia.

Priyanka Gandhi, seemed quite influenced with the state government’s policies in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal hit areas and tribal areas in order to improve the trust, security and development. Baghel gave Smt. Gandhi the point-wise details of the efforts made by the State Government in various fields including education, health, agriculture, development of women and child.
Priyanka Gandhi consulted him on the state government’s innovative initiative, Suraji Gram Yojana, to be implemented in other states as well.

Priyanka Gandhi took suggestions from Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel to learn about the economic reforms and recession in the states. Baghel said that, even though the country is currently reeling under recession, Chhattisgarh has remained untouched by this recession.

After the boom in auto sector and increasing employment, investment in real estate has also increased in the state. There has also been a historic increase in the sale of land in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister invited Priyanka Gandhi to come to Chhattisgarh which she gladly accepted.
