Chhattisgarh Advances Its Clean-Energy Vision as CM Releases IISD–Swaniti Study

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met researchers from the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and Swaniti Initiative during a courtesy call in Raipur, where he formally released their detailed study report, “Mapping India’s State-Level Energy Transition: Chhattisgarh.”Subodh Kumar Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, was also present on this occasion.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister held an in-depth discussion with the research team on expanding renewable energy in the state, strengthening energy security, and accelerating sustainable development. He reiterated Chhattisgarh’s commitment to adopting forward-looking policies, promoting green investments, and ensuring that clean-energy growth aligns with the state’s development priorities and environmental responsibilities.
The meeting highlighted the government’s focus on leveraging research-based insights to shape strategies that position Chhattisgarh as a driver of India’s energy transition.
