Raipur, 01 October 2019;Chief Minister of Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2 October. CM, Bhupesh Baghel said that by remembering the Father of the Nation, paying homage and bowing down, our work does not end but our work starts from here.

Baghel urge the people to follow the path shown by Gandhiji, to achieve the goal of Gram Swaraj, we have started the Gram Suraji Yojana and started the work of developing Narva, Garuva, Ghurwa, Bari in a new form.

With the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Scheme and Universal PDS, we have decided that no hungry stomach should be forced to sleep nor be deprived of nutritious diet. We have declared a decisive battle against malnutrition which will follow the path of Gandhian Satyagraha. Gandhiji conducted many experiments for the good health of all, so we have given priority to universal healthcare. We will reach the last person in Chhattisgarh through Mukhyamantri Haat Bazaar Clinic Scheme, Mukhyamantri Urban Labor Health Scheme.

We have made Mahatma Gandhi’s compassion the core of the government. Recalling Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Chhattisgarh, Baghel said that the news of his arrival in Chhattisgarh during the freedom struggle gave the farmers victory, Gandhiji’s visit to Chhattisgarh for the untouchability visit in Chhattisgarh and Mahatma Gandhi’s memories are still alive today in the leprosy ashram of Baitalpur, Bilaspur, the meeting held by Gandhiji at the Satnami Ashram in Ganjadbari, Raitapur.Gandhiji’s arrival in Chhattisgarh filled all the citizens including women, students, sanitation workers with renewed vigor and energy of patriotism and brought about the truth-non-violence, harmony and communal harmony in the state. Baghel said that together we will move towards realizing Gandhiji’s dream and follow the footsteps of him to form a ‘new Chhattisgarh’.
