CM Dr. Yadav Discusses Investment & Dev. Plans with Indian High Commission

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav began his official visit to the United Kingdom by holding a meeting with officials from the Indian High Commission in London. The discussion focused on the state’s plans for industrial development, technical cooperation, and attracting global investment.

Dr. Yadav expressed his pleasure in starting his first international visit in the UK and thanked the Indian High Commission for their support in preparing for the trip. “It is a moment of great pride for me to begin this important journey from Britain. I am deeply grateful for the guidance and cooperation provided by the High Commission team in making this visit possible,” he said.

The Chief Minister emphasized that industrial development is a top priority for the state government. He highlighted the positive responses received at the Regional Industry Conclaves held in cities like Ujjain, Rewa, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Sagar. These events have sparked significant interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh.

“We are now looking beyond the national level and aiming to connect with international investors to further the state’s development, starting with London,” Dr. Yadav noted.

He pointed out the vast potential of Madhya Pradesh in sectors such as agriculture, automotive, auto components,pharmaceuticals, and information technology. Dr. Yadav specifically mentioned the state’s interest in partnering with the UK for technology transfer, skill development, and research collaboration.

Support for Global Investors Summit

Dr. Yadav also requested the Indian High Commission’s support for the upcoming Global Investors Summit, scheduled to take place in Bhopal in February 2025. “I have a special request for the High Commission team to assist us in positioning Madhya Pradesh as the ideal investment destination for British investors,” he added.

The meeting was attended by Indian High Commissioner Vikram K. Doraiswami, Deputy High Commissioner Sujit Ghosh, Minister (Economic) Smt. Nidhi Mani Tripathi, and First Secretary (Trade) Jaspreet Singh Sukhija. This discussion between Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and the Indian High Commission is being seen as the beginning of a new chapter in fostering industrial and technical cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and the United Kingdom.
