R.K.Agrawal, CMD, WAPCOS & NPCC Limited has been conferred with “The Best CMD of the Year” and WAPCOS limited conferred with “The Best PSU” by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Diplomatist at Diplomatic Nite 2022 Awards held during a glittering ceremony at New Delhi on 14th December, 2022.

Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam, Ambassador of the State of Eritrea and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, presented the Awards to WAPCOS. P.K.Agrawal, Sr. General Manager; Prabhakar Sati, Addl. Chief Scientist; Mehakjeet Deol, Addl. Chief Engineer and Ms. Indica, Head (CC) received the Awards on behalf of WAPCOS Limited.

WAPCOS Limited is a central public sector enterprise wholly owned by the Government of India (“GOI”) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, GOI. We are engaged in engineering consultancy services and construction in the fields of water, power and infrastructure sectors for businesses and communities in India and overseas. Over the last 5 (five) decades, WAPCOS Limited has been providing engineering consultancy services for projects in water, power and infrastructure sectors which have made significant contribution within India and overseas. WAPCOS Limited has been conferred with Schedule B Category-I Mini-Ratna status by Department of Public Enterprises.

Rajni Kant Agrawal is the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of WAPCOS Limited with effect from October 4, 2021. He has been associated with our Company since June 28, 1991. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan and also holds a master’s degree in water resources engineering from IIT Delhi. He also has a master’s degree in business administration from Sikkim Manipal University (formerly known as Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences). He has more than thirty-two (32) years of experience in the field of planning, design and implementation of water resources, power and infrastructure development projects in India and overseas. He also holds rich experience and 178 expertise in project planning, contract management, construction supervision and project implementation and actively involved in business development activities of our Company. He is also the Chairman cum Managing Director (Additional Charge) and Director (Engineering) (Additional Charge) of our Subsidiary and a Director in GPCL Consulting Services Limited.
