Constable Govind Singh Chouhan’s Bravery Saves Life, Awarded ₹10,000 for Heroic Act at Ashoknagar Station

On March 28, 2025, a 14-year-old girl from Bina, traveling with her family from Bina to Baran, had a narrow escape at Ashoknagar Railway Station. During the journey, the girl stepped out of the train to buy food at the platform. As the train began to move, she lost her balance and fell between the moving train and the platform, putting her life at risk.

However, quick-thinking Railway Police constable Govind Singh Chouhan, stationed at the platform, observed the situation and acted without hesitation. With remarkable alertness, he immediately rushed to the girl’s aid and managed to pull her back to safety, preventing a potential tragedy.

The girl’s family and other passengers expressed their gratitude and admiration for Constable Chouhan’s swift response. In recognition of his courageous and timely action, the Railway Police awarded him a cash prize of ₹10,000.

The incident was widely praised by officials, with DGP Kailash Makwana commending Constable Chouhan for his professionalism and bravery. “His swift action not only saved a life but also exemplifies the dedication and commitment of our railway police personnel,” said DGP Makwana.

Constable Govind Singh Chouhan’s heroic effort has set an example of quick decision-making and selfless service, earning him well-deserved appreciation from both the public and his superiors.
