CS-Anurag Jain Inaugurates MP Travel Mart Showcasing ‘Village Vibes’ & Rural Tourism Potential

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| Bhopal, October 12, 2025 – Chief Secretary Anurag Jain inaugurated the Business-to-Business (B2B) event and exhibition of the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart at MVM Ground, Bhopal. The event aims to strengthen business relations in the tourism sector and promote Madhya Pradesh as a diverse and vibrant travel destination.
During the inauguration, Jain also launched the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Pavilion and the live exhibition “Village Vibes,” which beautifully showcased the state’s rural lifestyle, art, and culture. The Chief Secretary Anurag Jain appreciated the concept of bringing rural settings to life through this creative exhibition. Prominent actor Raghubir Yadav and Additional Chief Secretary for Tourism and Culture, S.S.Shukla, were also present on the occasion.
The “Village Vibes” pavilion displayed traditional crafts such as block printing, Chanderi saree weaving, and live Gond painting. Visitors experienced the warmth of rural kitchens through “Maa Ki Rasoi” and witnessed the authenticity of the state’s local culture. Jain also interacted with young women trained under the Safe Tourism Destination for Women project and lauded their confidence and skill development.
In a special segment of the B2B event, the Chief Secretary Anurag Jain met homestay operators from various rural regions of the state. He praised the initiative that connects rural homestay entrepreneurs directly with international tour and travel operators, thereby creating business opportunities and encouraging sustainable tourism. Jain interacted with operators of Vanraj Homestay, Palash Villa Pench, Jyanshi Homestay, Vedika Hill Homestay, and Grand Narmada Homestay, appreciating their efforts and locally crafted souvenir products.
Jain also engaged with domestic and international tour operators, hotel representatives, and investors, sharing insights into the state’s new tourism policy, investment prospects, and upcoming projects. He invited them to explore further collaborations and thanked them for their participation in the event.
Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation, Dr. Ilaiya Raja T, Additional Managing Director of MP Tourism Board, Bidisha Mukherjee, senior officials of the Tourism Department, and a large number of national and international tour operators, travel agents, and hoteliers attended the event.
The B2B segment of Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart serves as a key business platform connecting local tour operators and hotel owners with national and international buyers. Through pre-scheduled meetings, it enables trade partnerships and agreements that open new avenues for collaboration. The event also promotes Madhya Pradesh’s wide range of tourism offerings — from wildlife and heritage to emerging destinations — encouraging travel agents to design attractive packages. Ultimately, it aims to increase tourist footfall and accelerate local economic growth.
