About more than a dozen Public Sector undertakings are with out regular heads for a span ranging from three months to more than a year, which often leads to delays in critical decisions.

The Public Enterprises Selection Board PESB which is a nodal body for the appointment of top management posts in PSUs usually sends out recommendations at least 4 to 6 months before the positions fall vacant. The delays begin after this, From the here given PSU list many of the posts of CMD’s and MD’s have been advertised also.

“The ministry in question and bodies like the CVC have to take the final decision on the PESB’s recommendations which can be turned down.

An unusual delay in appointment of such key positions causes too much to business activity at a time when the economy is doldrums. Such retards in the public sector undertakings reason its economic activity to battle entirely avoidable challenges of leadership.

List of PSU don’t have regular heads.
