11th November 2019: Today in Bhopal the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Denial And Deprivation a book authored by Abdur Rahman,(IPS) Officer of Maharashtra cadre 1997 batch, was lunched under the banner of Manohar Publisher and distributer, Denial And Deprivation attempts to gauge and analyse the level of denial and deprivation faced by Indian Muslims by evaluating their status after a gap of several years of Sachar Committee (2006) and Rangnath Mishra Commission (2007) Reports. In the limits of his service, he is often seen ignoring and ignoring those things, for which his voice raised in time could have brought about a significant change, Maharashtra’s senior most and well respected Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Abdur Rahman is serving as Special Inspector General (State Human Rights Commission) in the government of Maharashtra. In the post Sachhar era , Govt started many schemes to improve the condition whose reach and impact is assessed with the help of latest data. It presents the social structure of muslims presence of OBC’s and Dalits and suggests a practical Pattern for reservation. It follows up the process of Implementation of recommendations of these reports highlights how the Govt. adopted tokenism, attempted to implement minor recommendations and shied away from major ones. It presents the lopsided attitude of the present regime and accelerated marginalization of Muslims in today’s scenario due to the open discrimination, mob violence, lynching and hate crimes in the name of various communal issues.

On the occasion of book release, those who were present among Abdur Rahman himself,MLA from Bhopal central Arif Masood, Maimuna, a student of Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, M W Ansari, retired DG Chhattisargh, Industrialist Nawab Raza, Abdul Tahir, Jusab Memon, Senior Journalist Nadeem Khan were prominent.
