Commissioner Police Commissioner – Harinarayanachari Mishra Emphasizes Road Safety and Discipline
Bhopal, August 1, 2025 — In a major move to promote road safety and enforce traffic discipline within the police force, Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra has issued a strict directive applicable to all units of the Bhopal Police.
As per the order, all police officers and personnel posted across Bhopal district must compulsorily wear helmets while riding two-wheelers and fasten seat belts while driving four-wheelers. Non-compliance with these rules will attract strict departmental disciplinary action.
Commissioner Mishra emphasized that police personnel must lead by example if they are to encourage the public to follow traffic rules. “Discipline starts from within the force,” he stated, underlining the importance of personal accountability.
This directive is expected to enhance internal discipline within the police department and contribute to reducing road accidents. It also sends a strong message to the public: traffic rules are universal and must be followed by all, including those who enforce them.
