The Department of Personnel and Training under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has issued a notification proposing the appointment of up to two Information Commissioners in the Central Information Commission.
Eligible candidates must be eminent personalities in public life with extensive expertise in fields including law, science, technology, management, governance, or journalism. Applicants must not hold an office of profit, be associated with political parties, or exceed 65 years of age.
Completed applications must reach the Under Secretary (IR II), DoPT, by post or via email by 5:00 PM on November 20, 2026.
