DVC felicitates eminent personalities on “Hindi Pakhwada-2019”

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) celebrates “Hindi Pakhwada-2019” with great zeal and enthusiasm throughout the valley. The Pakhwada was observed from 9th to 27 th September 2019 at its Hqrs., Kolkata. On this occasion at an impressive function organized by DVC at its Corporate Office on 27.09.2019, felicitated the eminent personalities, namely Smt. Usha Ganguly, an Indian theatre director-actor and activist, most known for her work in Hindi theatre in Kolkata, Smt. Bratati Bandyopadhyay, a Bengali language elocutionist and Prof. (Dr.) Soma Bandyopadhyay, Vice-Chancellor, WBUTTEPA in recognition to their remarkable contribution in the respective fields. Dr. P.K. Mukhopadhyay, Member-Secretary extended the felicitations of DVC and bestowed the citation to the recipients. Shri P.P. Chakraborty, Additional Secretary was also present on the dais. Speaking on the occasion, the distinguished guests expressed their gratitude to DVC for conferring this honour to them and emphasized the importance of Hindi among other languages for the progress of society and nation-building. The eminent personalities also gave away prizes to the winners of various events organized during the observation of this Pakhwada. High Officials, employees of DVC and plenty of spectators watched the function organized at Dr. Megnad Saha Auditorium, DVC Towers, Kolkata.
