By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the appointment of five IPS officers of the 1997 batch as Additional Directors General in various Central Armed Police Forces and agencies. The postings include BSF, NIA, ITBP and Sashastra Seema Bal, against existing vacancies at Level-15 of the Pay Matrix.

Rekha Lohani, IPS (Odisha:1997), Inspector General, CRPF, has been appointed Additional Director General in Sashastra Seema Bal against an existing vacancy. The appointment is in Level-15 of the Pay Matrix and takes effect from the date of assumption of charge. Her deputation tenure counts from 16 January 2023, as per IPS Tenure Policy.

Anand Pratap Singh, IPS (Himachal Pradesh:1997), Inspector General, BSF, has been appointed Additional Director General, BSF, in Level-15 against an existing vacancy, from the date of assumption of charge.

Sumit Sharan, IPS (Tamil Nadu:1997), Inspector General, BSF, has been appointed Additional Director General, BSF, in Level-15 against an existing vacancy, with deputation tenure counted as per IPS Tenure Policy.

Ashish Batra, IPS (Jharkhand:1997), Inspector General, NIA, has been appointed Additional Director General, NIA, in Level-15 against an existing vacancy, from the date of assuming charge.

Sanjay Kumar Gunjyal, IPS (Uttarakhand:1997), Inspector General, ITBP, has been appointed Additional Director General, ITBP, in Level-15 against an existing vacancy, from the date of assumption of charge.
