Namrup, Assam – The ambitious journey of Assam’s fertilizer revival gained momentum as the 12.7 LMT fertilizer plant of Assam Vikas Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (AVFCCL) took a decisive step forward. More than an industrial project, the plant is poised to become a symbol of growth, opportunity, and pride for the region.
In a landmark visit, senior leaders and officials came together to reaffirm their commitment to the project. The meeting was graced by Dr. J.B. Ekka, IAS, Chairman AVFCCL; Taranga Gogoi, MLA, Naharkatia LAC; Bikram Kairi, IAS, DC Dibrugarh; S.P. Mohanty, MD AVFCCL, along with senior representatives from HURL, PDIL, BVFCL and the District Administration.
A detailed presentation by PDIL highlighted the project roadmap, laying out its design, timelines, and milestones, giving stakeholders a clear direction for execution.
Adding to the significance of the day, AVFCCL unveiled its new logo — a mark of identity, aspiration, and the bold vision of a self-reliant Assam.
The upcoming fertilizer plant is not just a production unit but a catalyst for socio-economic transformation. It is expected to generate livelihoods, strengthen allied industries, and propel Assam towards greater self-sufficiency in agriculture and development.
