The General Administration Department (GAD) of Gujarat, on Wednesday, issued orders for the transfer and posting of 16 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, effecting significant administrative changes across key departments and districts in the state.

Highlights of the Reshuffle:

– Dilip Kumar Rana (IAS, 2007 batch), currently serving as Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as Commissioner of Higher Education, Gandhinagar, replacing Gurav Dinesh Ramesh, who has been transferred.

– Dr. N.K. Meena (IAS, 2010 batch), Director of Fisheries, Gandhinagar, has been moved to the Urban Development and Urban Housing Department. He will now serve as the Municipal Commissioner of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation, relieving Hanul Choudhary, IAS, of the additional charge.

– Tusharkumar Y. Bhatt (IAS-SCS, 2010 batch), Managing Director, Gujarat Informatics Ltd., Gandhinagar, has been appointed as the new Collector of Patan, succeeding Arvind V., IAS.

– Manish Kumar (IAS, 2013 batch), Managing Director of Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Ltd., has been posted as Collector, Bhavnagar. He takes over the position from D.M. Solanki, IAS, who held the charge additionally.

– Arun Mahesh Babu (IAS, 2013 batch), Managing Director of Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., Mehsana, has been assigned to the Urban Development and Urban Housing Department. He replaces Dilip Kumar Rana as the new Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara.

– R.R. Damor (IAS-SCS, 2013 batch), Regional Commissioner of Municipalities, Gandhinagar, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Climate Change Department.

– Arvind V. (IAS, 2014 batch), currently Collector of Patan, has been shifted to the Science & Technology Department, where he will serve as Managing Director of Gujarat Informatics Ltd., succeeding Tusharkumar Y. Bhatt.

Other key postings include:

– Neha Kumari has been transferred from the post of Collector, Mahisagar, and will now serve as Mission Director, Gujarat State Electronics Mission, Gandhinagar.

– Arpit Sagar moves from the role of Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara, to become Collector, Mahisagar.

– Shalini Duhan is appointed as Collector, Dangs-Ahwa, after serving as Joint Secretary in the Urban Development & Housing Department.

– Bhavya Verma, formerly Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), Gandhinagar, takes over as Collector, Valsad.

– Ganga Singh has been posted as Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara, shifting from her role as Managing Director, Gujarat Medical Services Corporation Ltd.

– Manish Gurwani, previously Mission Director, Gujarat State Electronics Mission, is now posted as Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Rajkot.

– Gurav Dinesh Ramesh, who served as Director of Higher Education, has been posted as Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Surat.

– Surabhi Gautam, Joint Managing Director at GIDC, has been transferred as Regional Commissioner of Municipalities, Vadodara.

– Dr. Prashant Jilova (IAS, 2017 batch), Additional Industries Commissioner, Gandhinagar, has been posted to the Urban Development and Urban Housing Department. He will now serve as Regional Commissioner of Municipalities, Ahmedabad, relieving Amrutesh Aurangabadkar, IAS, of the additional charge.

This latest reshuffle reflects the state government’s efforts to optimize administrative efficiency and strengthen governance across districts and departments.
