HAL Observes Vigilance Awareness Week

Bengaluru, October 27, 2015: The vigilance awareness week being observed from October 26 to 31, 2015 kick-started at HAL with an aim to spread awareness on ill-effects of corruption among the youth as per the CVC’s mandate. HAL conducted elocution competition in six city colleges and 19 shortlisted students were invited for the final round during the inaugural event at the Corporate Office. The enthusiastic students pledged themselves to be a part of corruption eradication awareness programs.

Earlier, Dr. A.K. Mishra, Director-Finance, inaugurated the event on the theme “preventive vigilance as a tool of good governance” in the presence of S Subrahmanyan, Director (Operations) and B Selva Kumar, IPoS, Chief Vigilance Officer. A vigilance pledge was administered to the employees and an in-house magazine ‘Marg Darshan’ was also released at the inaugural program.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mishra called upon the employees to be more cautious in sensitive areas such as outsourcing and e-payments. Mr. Subrahmanyan said IT should be judiciously used as a tool to eradicate all possible difficulties in operating systems within the organization. B Selva Kumar pointed out that the vigilance is an integral part of the organization and the employees should not hesitate to take quick decisions as long as they followed the procedures without any mala fide intentions.

Adithya Paul of CMR Institute of Law College, won the first prize, Aditya Rao from B.M.S. Engineering College bagged the second prize while the third prize went to  Ammu Aniyan Kunju of Bishop Cotton Women’s College. Three consolation prizes were also given on the occasion.
