Hitachi Energy Launches ₹2,000 Crore Project in Presence of CM Patel, CS Das

THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA|Vadodara, Gujarat:Gujarat took another significant step towards reinforcing India’s energy security and manufacturing capabilities as Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of Hitachi Energy’s Large Power Transformer Factory at Kandari in Karjan taluka of Vadodara district.

The ceremony highlighted Gujarat’s continued emergence as a preferred destination for global investments in advanced manufacturing and energy infrastructure. Gujarat Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Das was also present on the occasion, underscoring the state’s commitment to facilitating industrial growth and sustainable development.

During the event, Hitachi Energy demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility through key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The company handed over an Advanced Life Support Ambulance equipped with modern medical facilities to Jamnabai General Hospital in Vadodara, aimed at strengthening emergency healthcare services in the region. In addition, a plantation drive involving 2,650 saplings was undertaken at Makarpura Police Station, reflecting a shared commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. He described the establishment of the approximately ₹2,000 crore transformer manufacturing facility as a major milestone that would further strengthen India’s manufacturing sector and energy security framework.

Congratulating Hitachi Energy for the landmark investment, the Chief Minister observed that the project would significantly contribute to the objectives of the “Make in India” initiative while enhancing self-reliance in the country’s energy sector. He also outlined Gujarat’s remarkable industrial progress in recent years and emphasized the state’s role in supporting national development goals.

Bhupendra Patel expressed confidence that the new facility would play an important role in building a self-reliant energy economy and help Gujarat emerge as a leading force in India’s journey towards a developed nation. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities, foster technological advancement, and support the growing demand for power infrastructure across India and international markets.

The establishment of the large power transformer manufacturing plant further reinforces Gujarat’s reputation as an industrial powerhouse and reflects the growing confidence of global companies in the state’s business-friendly environment, robust infrastructure, and progressive policy framework.
