HURL has signed an MoU with Youth of India Foundation at its Head Office in New Delhi for the “Khelega Bharat, Badhega Bharat” initiative. Under the programme, open gym equipment will be installed at selected government schools and community spaces across the Kushinagar Lok Sabha constituency, including Vishunpura Aspirational Block in Uttar Pradesh. The initiative seeks to provide safe, accessible and inclusive fitness facilities for children and adults, encouraging regular physical activity, improved fitness, mental well-being and preventive health. The programme aligns with the objectives of Khelo India, Fit India Movement, Aspirational Blocks Programme, National Education Policy 2020 and Viksit Bharat @2047, with a focus on making fitness facilities accessible at the grassroots level.

Lighting Up Rural Spaces, Enhancing Safety

HURL has signed an MoU with Human Upliftment Mission at its Head Office in New Delhi, in the presence of Dr S. P. Mohanty, Managing Director, HURL, for installation of 13 LED High Mast Lights in the Pathardeva Assembly Constituency of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. The project will strengthen public and road safety at critical rural intersections, market hubs and community gathering areas across Pathardeva, Desahi Deoria, Baitalpur, Tarkulwa and Gauribazar blocks. The energy-efficient lighting infrastructure is aimed at creating better-lit public spaces, enhancing security and supporting local economic activity. The initiative also seeks to strengthen rural infrastructure and improve everyday community life, reflecting HURL’s focus on development that combines infrastructure creation with safety, accessibility and community well-being.
