India marks 75th Independence Day, PM hoists the national flag

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation from the ramparts of the iconic Red Fort on the occasion of 75th Independence Day, in what is his eighth consecutive independence day address.India is celebrating its 75th Independence Day and marking another milestone in the history of the world’s largest democracy. Addressing the nation from Red Fort, PM Modi said the Centre will soon launch the Rs 100 lakh-crore Gati Shakti national infrastructure plan to boost the country’s economy. Giving a call for ‘Sabka Prayas’ along with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ for building a new India, PM Modi said, “We have to ensure we meet our goal of building Aatmanirbhar Bharat when we celebrate 100 years of India’s Independence.”

Today, the government has decided that doors of every Sainik School will now be open for its girl child.

We must ensure that women have equal representation in every sphere. We need to ensure that from roads to workplace, women have a feeling of security and respect.

The National Education Policy 2020 will become a major force in the fight against poverty. It will empower the poor child to become professionals with education in their regional languages.

A new chapter is being written in the history of connectivity in Northeast India. Rail services will be connecting every capital of the Northeast very soon. Under the Act East Policy, NE is being connected to Bangladesh, Myanmar and South East Asia.
