The landmark initiative brought together key leaders from India’s financial and capital-market ecosystem, including RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey, NSE Managing Director and CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan, SBI Managing Director and CEO Sundararaman Ramamurthy, and REC Limited Chairman and Managing Director Jitendra Srivastava, IAS. The event was also attended by several other distinguished dignitaries from the financial and technology sectors.
The introduction of tokenised corporate bonds represents an important milestone in the evolution of India’s debt markets. By leveraging emerging technologies, the initiative aims to make the corporate bond ecosystem more accessible, efficient and innovative.
Tokenisation can enable digital representation of financial assets, potentially facilitating greater transparency, streamlined processes and wider participation while supporting the development of modern market infrastructure.
