Attacking the opposition leaders for demanding proof of Indian security forces’ surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, PM Narendra Modi on here said that our Army does not speak but displays its valour.

“Our Army does not speak but displays its valour, so does our defence minister,” PM Modi said while inaugurating the “Shaurya Smarak”(war memorial) in Bhopal.

A political slugfest has broken out over surgical strikes, with some opposition leaders demanding proof of it.

The Indian Army launched surgical strikes on terror camps across the LoC in the early hours of September 29 in which a large number of terrorists waiting to infiltrate India were killed.

Addressing ex-servicemen at the gathering, the PM hailed our soldiers as saviours of humanity at large, beyond borders and nations. “When we talk about our soldiers, it is mostly about their uniform, their valour but we must also see them as an example of humanity”.

“India is one of the biggest contributors to the UN peacekeeping forces,” he said.

“It was our soldiers who played a key role in rescuing people from Yemen. Those rescued were not only Indians but a few from Pakistan as well,” PM Modi said.

Praising the strength of the soldiers guarding our border, PM said, “Jawans sacrifice their lives so that we can sleep peacefully at night”.

Speaking of the Army, PM Modi also emphasised how the Army is not just guarding our borders but also rescuing citizens during the calamities that strike our country.
