Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today launched the website of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise) at his office. This website has been developed by the Indian Revenue Service Association. The website would provide the history of IRS, its functions, training details, information about the officers and their postings, photo gallery of events etc. It provides safe and secure internal discussion forum for officers to discuss various tax policy issues and other fresh ideas for promoting key government agenda of Ease of Doing Business and Make In India. It also provides a link to the Facebook and Twitter accounts of the IRS Association.

The IRS Association informed the Hon’ble Finance Minister about the successful social media campaign that was conducted for creating mass awareness about Goods and Services Tax (GST). Hon’ble Finance Minister appreciated the efforts of the IRS Association and expressed his happiness over the initiative for making the Indian Revenue Service digital.
