Thiruvananthapuram, May 5, 2025: IRCON International Limited, a leading infrastructure and engineering PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has been awarded a major contract by Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd. (KSITIL) for the construction of a Dedicated Rural Industrial Park at Kerala Spacepark in Thiruvananthapuram District.

The project, valued at ₹187.08 crore (excluding GST), aims to bolster Kerala’s position as a growing hub for high-tech infrastructure and rural industrial development. This initiative is part of the state government’s broader vision to promote inclusive economic growth and foster innovation in emerging sectors.

The proposed industrial park will be developed within the ambit of Kerala Spacepark, a flagship project intended to attract space-tech startups and advanced manufacturing units. IRCON’s expertise in infrastructure development is expected to ensure timely and high-quality execution of this ambitious project.

Work on the project is expected to commence shortly.
