ITDC observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, led by Mugdha Sinha’s call for integrity & ethical governance

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from 27th October to 2nd November under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The initiative emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in promoting transparency, integrity, and ethical governance.

Mugdha Sinha, IAS, Managing Director, ITDC, highlighted the deeper meaning behind the observance, stating that the week offers an opportunity for reflection and collective reaffirmation of commitment to transparency and accountability. She emphasized that the tourism and hospitality industry, like all others, stands firmly on the foundation of ethical conduct. Her message set the tone for ITDC’s proactive approach to fostering a culture of honesty and vigilance within the organization.

Sunil Kumar Sharma, CVO, ITDC, reiterated the corporation’s commitment to preventive vigilance in line with Central Vigilance Commission directives.

The week commenced with the Integrity Pledge taken by employees across all ITDC divisions. Activities such as poster making, slogan writing, debates, and quizzes organized by AIHTM students encouraged creative engagement on the theme of a corruption-free India. Workshops, expert sessions, and a Nukkad Natak further deepened awareness, while a Walkathon symbolized ITDC’s unified stand for transparency and ethical governance.
