JNPA Welcomes First Batch of Vadhvan Port Skilling Program for On-Ground Training Experience

(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) Mumbai, 7: July 2025 : Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) proudly hosted the inaugural batch of the General Purpose (G P) Rating course under the Vadhvan Port Skilling Program. The students, hailing from the Vadhvan Port ecosystem, are currently undergoing specialised maritime training at the BP Marine Institute in Navi Mumbai.

As part of their curriculum, the students visited JNPA to gain first-hand exposure to India’s largest container port. They were given an informative presentation on JNPA’s infrastructure, trade processes, and operational ecosystem. The session offered them valuable insights into the complexities and real-time dynamics of port operations and EXIM (export-import) trade logistics.

This initiative reflects JNPA’s ongoing commitment to fostering maritime education and workforce development. By engaging with aspiring professionals and offering them practical knowledge of the industry, JNPA continues to play a key role in building a skilled and future-ready maritime workforce aligned with the nation’s port-led growth vision.
