By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM | The Government of India has issued a series of appointments, additional charges, and tenure extensions approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and other competent authorities. The following are today’s major updates across ministries and commissions.

Additional Charge to Chandra Sekhar Kumar
The Competent Authority has assigned additional charge of Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, to Chandra Sekhar Kumar, IAS (OR:1992), from 22.11.2025 to 03.12.2025. He will hold the charge during the leave of Alka Upadhyaya, IAS (MP:1990).

Additional Charge to S. Gopalakrishnan
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved additional charge of Chairman, National Recruitment Agency, to S. Gopalakrishnan, IAS (TN:91), who currently serves as Chairman, Staff Selection Commission. The charge will continue until a regular incumbent is appointed or until further orders.

Tenure Extension of Abhishek Narang
The ACC has approved extension of central deputation tenure of Abhishek Narang, IRS (IT:2008), as Private Secretary to the Minister for Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan. His tenure is extended for six months beyond 31.12.2025 or until further orders.

Tenure Extension of Deepak Srivastava
The ACC has approved the extension of central deputation tenure of Deepak Srivastava, IOFS (2008), serving as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. His tenure is extended for two years beyond 12.03.2026, up to 12.03.2028, or until further orders.

Appointment of Parthasarathy Bhaskar Devarakonda
The ACC has approved the Civil Services Board’s recommendation for the lateral shift of Parthasarathy Bhaskar Devarakonda, IRS (C&IT:2012), from the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances to the Cabinet Secretariat as Deputy Secretary. His tenure will continue until 22.06.2026 or until further orders.
