Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has donated four ‘Jal Shav Wahini’ (water hearses) to NDRF. These water hearses will ferry dead bodies to ‘Manikarnika Ghat’ to perform last rites in Varanasi. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched this free service at Trade Facilitation Centre, Varanasi. On this occasion, Managing Director of LIC, Hemant Bhargava, S N Bhattacharya, ED-CC were present.
