Madhya Pradesh Government Clears Large-Scale IAS Promotions Ahead of New Year 2026

Bhopal: Ahead of the New Year 2026, the Madhya Pradesh government has approved a wide-ranging promotion exercise in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), granting higher scales and responsibilities to officers across senior, super time scale and selection grade levels. The promotions, effective from January 1, 2026, are aimed at strengthening administrative leadership and ensuring continuity in governance.
Principal Secretary Level Promotion
Senior IAS officer M. Selvendran, currently serving as Secretary, Personnel, General Administration Department, has been promoted to the post of Principal Secretary, Personnel, in Pay Matrix Level-15. The elevation places him among the senior-most officers handling key personnel and administrative matters of the state government.
Super Time Scale for 2010 Batch Officers
The state government has promoted a large group of IAS officers from the 2010 batch to the Super Time Scale in Pay Matrix Level-14. The officers elevated include Anurag Dwivedi, Kaushlendra Vikram Singh, Tarun Rathi, Kamveer Sharma, Bhaskar Lakshkar and Abhijeet Agarwal.
In continuation of the same promotion order, several other 2010-batch IAS officers have also been granted Super Time Scale. These include Ashish Singh, Chhote Singh, Dinesh Shrivastava, Sapna Nigam, Deepak Kumar Saxena, Rampratap Singh Jadon, Basant Kurre, Rakesh Kumar, Prashant Walmik and Shailendra Singh. All promotions will take effect from January 1, 2026.
Selection Grade for 2013 Batch IAS Officers
The Madhya Pradesh government has also approved Selection Grade promotions in Pay Matrix Level-13 for a large number of IAS officers of the 2013 batch. The promoted officers include Priyank Mishra, Amanveer Singh Bains, Rani Singh, Mayank Agarwal, Sonia Meena, Satish Kumar S, Frank Noble A, Somesh Mishra, S. Krishn Chaitanya, Anup Kumar Singh, Sandeep J.R., Girish Kumar Mishra, Usha Maheshwari R., Shivam Verma, Ravindra Singh, Vikas Mishra, Ajay Shrivastava, Meenakshi Singh, Kailash Vanshade, Abhay Bahadur Singh, Manisha Soniya, Neeraj Kumar Kashyap, Kishore Kumar Kanyal and Suhni Khan.
These officers have completed the prescribed service period and have been found fit for elevation to the Selection Grade, effective January 1, 2026.
Strengthening Administrative Capacity
This extensive promotion exercise, part of the state government’s New Year administrative measures, follows a similar large-scale elevation of IPS officers and reflects the focus on reinforcing leadership at multiple levels of the bureaucracy. With most officers expected to continue at their present postings, the move ensures administrative stability while recognising experience and service across key departments.
