Madhya Pradesh Govt Reshuffles 20 IPS Officers Across Key Ranges and Headquarters

Madhya Pradesh Government has issued transfer and posting orders for 20 senior police officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). The Home Department released the notification on September 8, 2025, effecting changes across several ranges and headquarters.
As per the order, Lalit Shakyawar (2008 batch) has been posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Police Headquarters, Bhopal. Mukesh Kumar Srivastava (2009) moves to the Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission, Bhopal. Sunil Kumar Pandey (2009) is transferred to Police Headquarters, Bhopal, while Omprakash Tripathi (2009) takes charge as DIG, Special Armed Force (Central Zone), Bhopal. Manoj Kumar Singh (2009) has been appointed DIG, Lokayukta Organization, Bhopal.
Other significant postings include Manoj Kumar Srivastava (2009) as DIG, PRTS, Indore; Monika Shukla (2009) as Additional Police Commissioner, Crime and Headquarters, Urban Police, Bhopal; and Nimish Agrawal (2010) as DIG, Ratlam Range.
Meanwhile, D. Kalyan Chakravarty (2010) and Pankaj Srivastava (2010) have been shifted to Police Headquarters, Bhopal. Rajesh Kumar Singh (2010) joins as Additional Police Commissioner, Indore, while Hemant Chauhan (2010) takes over as DIG, Rewa Range. Vijay Kumar Khatri (2010) is posted as DIG, Chhatarpur Range, and Vineet Kumar Jain (2010) as DIG, Balaghat Range.
The reshuffle also includes Manoj Kumar Singh (2010) who goes to Rewa Range, and Rakesh Kumar Singh (2010) who has been made DIG, Police Headquarters, Bhopal. Rajesh Singh (2010) becomes DIG, Special Branch (G), Police Headquarters, Bhopal, while Shashindra Chauhan (2010) takes charge of Women’s Security Branch, Bhopal.
Among the 2012 batch officers, Mayank Awasthi has been appointed as DIG, Chhindwara Range, and Rajiv Kumar Mishra as DIG, Bhopal (Rural Range).
The transfers have been made in the name of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh and take effect immediately until further orders.
