Madhya Pradesh IAS Reshuffle Signals Administrative Recalibration and Trust in Senior Cadre

The Madhya Pradesh government has issued a major administrative order transferring and assigning new responsibilities to several IAS officers, aiming to strengthen governance and improve departmental efficiency across the state, Considering the additional charge held by ACS and Principal Secretaries and the shortage of officers at this level, Dr. Mohan Yadav the Chief Minister has reposed confidence in senior secretaries. For the first time, several secretaries below the rank of Principal Secretary have been given independent charge of departments. These include officers such as Principal Secretary Shobhit Jain, along with Secretaries Swatantra Kumar, Ilya Raja, John Kingsley, Alok Singh and Shreeman Shukla.

Keeping in view the importance of the agricultural year and the Chief Minister’s priorities, agriculture-related departments such as Fisheries, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry have been entrusted as independent charges to officers without any additional responsibility, as a deliberate administrative challenge.

In the Health Department, the posting of three officers—Dhanraju, Rahul Haridas and Disha Nagvanshi—reflects the growing importance and expanding scope of this department.

Shivshekhar Shukla has been assigned multiple key responsibilities as Additional Chief Secretary, including Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts and Narmada Valley Development, while continuing several additional charges in the state administration.

Ankur Agarwal has been posted as Principal Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Government, heading the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, marking a significant administrative responsibility in the rural and livestock sector.

Shamit Jain has been appointed Principal Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Government, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, bringing experience in regulatory and consumer affairs administration.

John Kinsley R has been entrusted with the charge of Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Government, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, along with additional responsibilities linked to industrial development.

Shriman Shukla has been posted as Secretary, Planning, Economics and Statistics Department, while also holding additional charge in the State Food Commission and Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

Swatantra Kumar Singh has been appointed Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Government, Fishermen Welfare and Fisheries Development Department, focusing on livelihood and sectoral growth initiatives.

Vishesh Garhpale has been posted as Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited, Jabalpur, along with additional charge in the Energy Department.

Alok Kumar Singh has been appointed Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary, Mining Department, strengthening coordination between the Chief Minister’s Office and key resource administration.

Dharmendra Singh has been posted as Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Indore, and Secretary, Commercial Tax Department, continuing his role in revenue administration.

Anand Srivastava has been appointed Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Indore, reinforcing the tax administration framework in the commercial capital of the state.

Tarun Rathi has been posted as Commissioner, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, contributing to data-driven governance and policy planning.

Arun Kumar Chaudhary has been appointed Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Fisheries Federation, Bhopal, with additional responsibilities in fisheries welfare and development.

Neha Saxena Singh has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, Madhya Pradesh Government, focusing on tribal welfare and inclusive development programmes.

Gautam Singh has been appointed Commissioner, Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board, playing a key role in urban housing and infrastructure expansion.

Dinesh Kumar has been posted as Additional Commissioner (Revenue), Commercial Tax Department, Gwalior, strengthening regional revenue administration.

Suman Mitra Dixit has been assigned as Commissioner, Women and Child Development Department, along with charge of State Mission Director, Integrated Child Development Services.

Dr Kiran Rahul Haridas has been appointed Director, Health Services, Madhya Pradesh, and also given additional charge related to state AIDS Control Society.

Rajesh Kumar Ojha has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Commercial Tax Department, Madhya Pradesh Government, supporting tax policy implementation and administration.

Ravi Meena has been appointed Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited, Bhopal, overseeing power distribution operations.

Manju Soniya has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Public Works Department, Madhya Pradesh Government, contributing to infrastructure development and project execution.

Dilip Kumar Yadav has been appointed Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation, Bhopal, strengthening tourism promotion and infrastructure.

Buddh Kumar Bahe has been posted as Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh, with additional charge related to tribal education institutions.

Dilip Kumar Kapase has been appointed Deputy Secretary, Social Justice and Agriculture Development Department, Madhya Pradesh Government.

Malika Nigam Nagar has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Public Health and Family Welfare Department, Madhya Pradesh Government.

Manish Chandra Manavagi has been appointed Deputy Mission Director, National Health Mission, Madhya Pradesh, supporting public health programme implementation.

Sonal Sharma has been posted as Secretary, Madhya Pradesh State Information Commission, Bhopal, strengthening transparency and information access mechanisms.
