Major Appointments in PSUs & Govt: J Ansari, R Kumar, G Jaiswal Among Key Names

(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) Jahangeer Alam Ansari selected as Director (Finance), Goa Shipyard Ltd: In a significant development, Jahangeer Alam Ansari, currently Chief General Manager (Finance) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance), Goa Shipyard Limited. The selection was made after interviews conducted by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) today, where as many as ten candidates appeared for consideration. Ansari’s appointment reflects his extensive experience in financial leadership within the public sector.

Rajesh Kumar appointed Director (Finance), NFDC
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared the appointment of Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director at Bridge and Roof Co. (India) Ltd., as Director (Finance) of the National Film Development Corporation Ltd. (NFDC). He will serve for five years from the date of assuming charge or until superannuation, whichever comes earlier.

P. Shankar appointed Private Secretary to Dr. V. K. Paul
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of P. Shankar, retired Senior PPS (CSSS), as Private Secretary to Dr. V. K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog. He will serve at the Under Secretary level on a co-terminus contract basis, effective June 1, 2025, until further orders.

Rahul Rastogi gets one-year extension at CIC
Rahul Rastogi, an officer of the Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS:1998) and currently Joint Secretary (Director level) at the Central Information Commission (CIC), has been granted a one-year extension in his central deputation tenure. He will now continue in this role until August 29, 2026, under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Govind Jaiswal’s tenure extended in Higher Education
The tenure of Govind Jaiswal, IAS (AGMUT:2007), serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, has been extended by two more years. His central deputation, previously set to end in October 2025, will now continue until October 11, 2027, supporting continuity in key educational policy initiatives.

Restructuring at IndianOil: two director posts abolished
