Major Bureaucratic Appointments at Joint Secretary Level Approved by ACC

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of key appointments at the level of Joint Secretary and equivalent in various ministries and departments of the Government of India. These appointments reflect the government’s ongoing focus on strengthening leadership and administrative efficiency across strategic sectors such as atomic energy, commerce, information technology, civil aviation, health, labour, food, and education.
Sonal Bajaj appointed Director (Finance), NPCIL
Sonal Bajaj, IRS (C&IT, 1998), has been appointed Director (Finance) in Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL), Mumbai, under the Department of Atomic Energy. He will serve for five years or until further orders, succeeding M. Sankaranarayann, IAS (MH:2003).
Jai Prakash Pandey to serve as Joint Director General, DGCA
Jai Prakash Pandey, IRPS (2003), has been appointed Joint Director General (JS level) in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. His tenure will extend up to 20 February 2027 or until further orders.
Brij Mohan Mishra appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce
Brij Mohan Mishra, IAS (UT:2008), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce. His overall tenure will last up to 16 November 2026, replacing Amitabh Kumar, IRS.
Neeraj Kharwal named Managing Director, ITPO
Neeraj Kharwal, IAS (UD:2007), has been appointed Managing Director (JS level) of India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) under the Department of Commerce. He will serve for five years or until further orders.
Sudeep Shrivastava appointed Joint Secretary, MeitY
Sudeep Shrivastava, IRSSE (2001), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. His tenure will be five years, succeeding Amod Kumar, IAS (UP:1995).
Siljo V K appointed DDG, UIDAI
Siljo V K, ISS (2004), has been appointed Deputy Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), under MeitY. His tenure will be five years or until further orders, succeeding Manish Bhardwaj, IAS (GJ:1997).
Manish Tiwari appointed Joint Secretary, WDRA
Manish Tiwari, IRTS (1995), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority (WDRA) under the Department of Food & Public Distribution. He will serve until his superannuation on 30 September 2029.
Lokesh Kumar Sharma appointed Executive Director, FCI
Lokesh Kumar Sharma, IOFS (1998), has been appointed Executive Director, Food Corporation of India (FCI), under the Department of Food & Public Distribution. His tenure will be five years, replacing Manoj Kumar Jain, IRAS (2000).
Hema Jaiswal appointed Executive Director, FCI
Hema Jaiswal, ISS (2004), has been appointed Executive Director, Food Corporation of India (FCI), under the Department of Food & Public Distribution. Her tenure will be five years, succeeding Akhilesh Misra, IRSME (1995).
Harsh Mangla appointed Joint Secretary, Health & Family Welfare
Harsh Mangla, IAS (JH:2008), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare. His overall tenure extends up to 24 January 2027, succeeding Latha Ganapathy, IAS (TN:2007).
Gaya Prasad appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs
Gaya Prasad, ISS (1996), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will serve until his superannuation on 31 July 2028, succeeding Mihir Kumar, IDAS (1996).
Shruti Singh appointed Joint Secretary, Information & Broadcasting
Shruti Singh, IAS (PB:2004), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Her tenure will be five years or until further orders, succeeding Garima Singh, CSS.
Roli Shukla Malge appointed FA & CAO, EPFO
Roli Shukla Malge, IA&AS (2002), has been appointed Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. She will serve for five years or until further orders, replacing Sanjay Pandey, ICAS (1994).
Rajendra Kumar Agrawal appointed Additional Secretary, UPSC
Rajendra Kumar Agrawal, IRPS (2000), has been appointed Additional Secretary (JS level) in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under the Department of Personnel & Training. His tenure extends up to 30 September 2030, replacing Kumar Sanjay Bariar (1993).
Jai Prakash Shivahare appointed Joint Secretary, DPIIT
Jai Prakash Shivahare, IAS (GJ:2002), has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT). His tenure will be five years or until further orders, against a temporarily downgraded post of Additional Secretary.
Vikas Gupta appointed Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan
Vikas Gupta, IAS (HY:2001), has been appointed Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), under the Department of School Education & Literacy. His tenure will be five years or until further orders, succeeding Nidhi Pandey, llnfoS (1991).
