Manish Kumar assumes charge as President of IRS (C&IT) Association

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| A leadership transition has taken place in the IRS (Customs & Indirect Taxes) Association following the elevation of Abhai Kumar Srivastav as Member of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). With this development, senior officer Manish Kumar has assumed charge as President of the Association for the remaining tenure, ensuring continuity in representation and institutional engagement within the service.
Consequent to the appointment of Abhai Kumar Srivastav as Member, CBIC, Manish Kumar, Chief Commissioner and a 1992-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), has taken over as President of the IRS (C&IT) Association for the remainder of the ongoing term.
The transition marks a natural progression in leadership within the Association, which plays a significant role in representing the professional interests and welfare concerns of IRS (C&IT) officers across the country. Manish Kumar brings with him extensive administrative experience and a deep understanding of indirect tax administration, having served in several key positions during his distinguished career.
