PTC India Ltd., a leading provider of power trading solutions in the country, announced that Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar has officially assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company. The appointment, effective from May 13, 2025, follows a decision by the company’s Board of Directors on April 26.

Dr. Jhawar, who is currently 56 years old, will serve in the role until he reaches the age of superannuation at 60. His elevation marks a significant step in the company’s leadership transition, bringing with him a wealth of industry expertise and institutional knowledge.

An accomplished professional with a PhD in Management Sciences from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, Dr. Jhawar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Ujjain, and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering and Management from the same university. He is also a qualified Cost Accountant.

With over three decades of diverse experience across the commercial, IT management, finance, and engineering sectors, Dr. Jhawar has held several senior leadership positions, including roles as Director, CFO, and CITO in the power distribution sector.

Dr. Jhawar joined the PTC India Board as Whole Time Director, designated as Director (Commercial & Operations), on January 18, 2024. Subsequently, he was entrusted with the additional responsibility of CMD on June 13, 2024, pending further orders.

His formal appointment as CMD underscores the company’s focus on strengthening its leadership and operational excellence in the evolving energy landscape.
