Metro rail will accelerate the growth of Indore, employment opportunities will increase, MP-CM, Kamal Nath

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath laid the foundation stone for Bhoomi Pujan of Indore Metro Rail Project costing Rs 7500.80 crore today. The CM Nath said that the completion of this project will accelerate the development of Indore
Chief Minister Nath while performing Bhoomi Pujan of the much awaited Metro Rail Project of Indore said that ten years ago when he was the Minister of Urban Development at the Center, he had given approval for Bhopal and Indore and asked the then government to make its DPR.

Today, after ten years, the Metro Rail Project of Indore is going to start. Nath said that its construction, operation and maintenance activities will increase employment opportunities in Indore and surrounding areas with the reduction in road accidents, there will be less pressure on traffic and people will have the most reliable and safe public transport available. Shri Nath said that this will beautify the city and reduce pollution.

Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the need of the hour is to expand the cities and also to arrange public transport for the convenience of the people. With this in view, the Metro Rail Project is starting today. We will have to work with new planning for the increasing population of cities.

He said that cities like Noida and Gurgaon have developed from this point of view. He said that the metro rail project is starting in Indore. In future, Ujjain, Rau, Dewas and Dhar districts will also be connected to this project, The Chief Minister said that cooperation of the public as well as the public is necessary in the expansion and development of cities.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Indore Rail Metro Project near the toll block on MR-10, Indore. The total length of this project will be 31.55 km. It will have 26 stations elevated and four underground stations. A total of 30 stations will be built under the project. The time frame for its construction has also been fixed.

The elevated section from Gandhi Nagar to Indore railway station will be completed by 31 December 2022 and the underground section from Indore railway station to Gandhinagar by 31 July 2023. The depot line will be completed by 28 February 2023 and the system line will be completed on 31 August 2023. The proposed route of the metro rail is from Bengali Square to Nanod, Bhawarsala Square and Radisson Square.
