MIDC to Drive ₹760 Crore Sukhjit Starch Project in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presided over the signing and exchange of a ₹760 crore MoU between the Industries Department and Sukhjit Starch and Chemicals Limited at Sahyadri Guest House, Mumbai. The project, Sukhjit Corn Bio-Ingredients, will come up in the MIDC Industrial Area at Yeola, Nashik district. The investment is expected to generate 200 direct jobs and around 3,000 indirect employment opportunities, providing a significant boost to the region’s industrial and economic development. Industries Minister Uday Samant, Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, and Deependra Singh Kushwah, IAS, CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), along with other senior officials and dignitaries, were present during the MoU ceremony. The project underscores Maharashtra’s continued efforts to attract major investments, strengthen industrial infrastructure and create employment opportunities across its districts.
