(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) In the presence of Union Minister, kishan Reddy and the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma an MoU was signed between Tourism Ministry and IRCTC for promoting domestic tourism & development of new tourism products during the inaugural session of the two days Conference at Guwahati. The MoU was signed by Ms. Rupinder Brar, Additional Director General, Ministry of Tourism and Mrs. Rajni Hasija, Director Tourism and Marketing, IRCTC.

Ms. Rupinder Brar, Additional Director General, Ministry of Tourism concluded the session by proposing the Vote of Thanks. She expressed her sincere gratitude to all the participating State Governments and other Central Ministries.

The CM of Assam called for emphasising on tourism & culture for development of NER. As the DoNER Minister has been entrusted with these two portfolios for the first time, he said it was an unique opportunity for the region to develop the tourism & culture industry.
