The celebrations were marked by the unfurling of the national flag by Dr. K.P.M. Swami, CMD, NBCC, in the presence of senior officials, employees and members of the project community. The occasion reflected NBCC’s commitment not only to nation-building through infrastructure development but also to creating a culture of dignity, participation and shared responsibility.

A key highlight of the celebrations was the organisation’s outreach towards shramjivies and their children. The initiative reinforced the importance of recognising the contribution of workers who play a vital role in transforming infrastructure projects into landmarks of national development. Adding a distinctive cultural dimension to the occasion, NBCC proudly introduced its Official Anthem on the eve of the 80th Independence Day. The anthem, an initiative of the UMANG Cultural Committee, celebrates the values of unity, pride and patriotism while strengthening a shared sense of identity among the NBCC family.

The Independence Day celebrations at Leisure Valley thus went beyond a ceremonial observance.
