By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA| In a notable boost to India’s international development cooperation, NBCC (India) Limited has signed a landmark agreement with the Government of Seychelles for the development of the Île Aurore Housing Project. The ambitious initiative will provide 1,008 affordable homes and is being implemented under a USD 75 million Line of Credit extended by the Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank).

The agreement marks another milestone in India’s commitment to supporting sustainable infrastructure and socio-economic development in partner countries. The housing project is expected to address the growing demand for affordable residential accommodation in Seychelles while contributing to the country’s long-term urban development objectives.

As the implementing agency, NBCC will leverage its expertise in project management and infrastructure development to execute the project in accordance with international quality standards and timelines. The initiative is also expected to generate local employment opportunities and strengthen housing infrastructure in the island nation.

The Île Aurore Housing Project further reinforces the strong bilateral relationship between India and Seychelles, reflecting the shared vision of inclusive growth and sustainable development. Backed by the EXIM Bank Line of Credit, the project exemplifies India’s role as a trusted development partner, fostering capacity building, infrastructure creation and people-centric initiatives across the Global South.
