NBCC to spearhead development at Ravenshaw University,

NBCC India Ltd., has been entrusted with the prestigious task of overseeing the comprehensive development of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, Odisha. The project, valued at approximately 250 crore, aims to enhance infrastructure across the university’s main campus and Mahanadi campus. The scope of the project includes the construction and development of various key facilities with more than 45,000 sqm of built-up area. The main campus of Ravenshaw University will include the construction of two research scholar hostels (G+3), each accommodating 150 students and spanning approximately 8,000 sqm. Additionally, a comprehensive mess facility, complete with dining areas, kitchens and essential amenities to serve 1,000 students shall be built. The project also encompasses the construction of staff quarters (G+7), comprising 14 units of 2BHK and 14 units of 3BHK apartments, with a total built-up area of about 4,000 sqm. Furthermore, an exclusive road tailored for the needs of visually impaired students ensuring accessibility across the campus, shall be constructed. The project also includes comprehensive peripheral development and installation of essential infrastructure for the smooth functioning of academic and residential life at the university.The upcoming Mahanadi campus will include the construction of two hostel buildings (G+3) with a combined capacity of 1,000 students (700 boys and 300 girls), spanning an area of approximately 18,000 sqm. An Academic block (G+2) covering 8,500 sqm, equipped with furniture, seminar halls, and peripheral amenities to support academic pursuits shall also come up in the campus. A Library block spanning 6,500 sqm will also be constructed, featuring study areas and seminar halls, complemented by essential furniture and furnishings. The scope of work also encompasses the installation of furniture, furnishings, and electrical equipment for the newly built Academic Block and Hostels. Furthermore, a cafeteria with a capacity for 1,000 individuals and a staff recreation hall, enhancing the campus’s amenities for both students and faculty.
