The 40th Foundation Day of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna Company of the Government of India, is being celebrated with gaiety at all its projects and units, including its headquarters, on Thursday. In the morning, the 40th Foundation Day began with the laying of wreaths at the Miner’s Statue and paying heartfelt tributes to the labor martyrs during a program held at the headquarters. On this occasion, B. Sairam, CMD, NCL hoisted the flag as the Chief Guest.

Former CMDs of NCL A. K. Das, S. V. Chaoji, T. K. Nag, B. R. Reddy, P. K. Sinha, Director (Personnel), NCL, Manish Kumar, Director (Finance), Rajneesh Narayan, Director (Technical / Operations), Jitendra Malik, Director (Technical / Project & Planning), Sunil Prasad Singh and Chief Vigilance Officer, NCL Pankaj Kumar, JCC Members of Workers Union Ajay Kumar from CMS, Shyamdhar Dubey from BMS, Ashok Kumar Pandey from HMS, Secretary General CMOAI Sarvesh Singh were present as special guests during the function held at Panjreh Bhawan premises. Heads of the Departments and other senior officers of the Department were also present on the occasion.

In his address, CMD, NCL Sairam wished all the employees and beneficiaries on the 40th Foundation Day. On this occasion, CMD NCL expressed his gratitude to the erstwhile leaders for irrigating, blossoming and nurturing the company in difficult circumstances. He called upon Team NCL to move ahead with mutual harmony. Appreciated the role of workers and officers union representatives in building the image of the company along with the miners of NCL for achieving excellence in departmental capacity utilization. In his address, CMD NCL described the sacrifices being made by the peripheral community to contribute towards maintaining the energy security of the country as unparalleled and assured that the NCL management is committed to the spirit of development along with the company and the community.
