Newly Appointed CEC Gyanesh Kumar Calls for Brainstorming Conference with State CEOs

(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) New Delhi, February 25: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar has convened a two-day conference at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) on March 4 and 5. The event will bring together Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) from all States and Union Territories (UTs), along with District Election Officers (DEOs) and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), to foster learning and experience-sharing in election management.
The conference is expected to host over 100 participants, all of whom play a crucial role in conducting elections across the country. Discussions will focus on key themes such as *Technology Architecture in Elections, the Statutory Role of Various Authorities in Electoral Processes, Communication Strategies, Social Media Management, and Voter Outreach Initiatives.*
CEC Gyanesh Kumar, who recently assumed office, emphasized the importance of voter participation in his first public message. “The first step towards nation-building is voting. Every citizen has a responsibility to participate in the electoral process,” he stated. He reaffirmed the Election Commission’s unwavering commitment to upholding free, fair, and transparent elections in accordance with the Constitution, electoral laws, and established guidelines.
The upcoming conference aims to refine best practices, address challenges, and explore innovations in electoral management, further strengthening India’s democratic framework.
